Nordex is a manufacturer of onshore wind turbines in the wind energy sector. We have been successful for over 30 years in an industry with a big future. We are now launching our Modern Apprenticeship program in Engineering. Our apprenticeship is a comprehensive training program lasting for up to 4 years. Your first year will be based at Forth Valley College, Falkirk campus on a full-time basis working to gaining your SVQ at SCQF level 5 and National Certificate in Engineering. You will receive tailored on the job training at our Wind Farms in the Stirling area and at other locations across the UK. There will also be day release for you to continue to pursue your academic studies so that you can achieve HNC and the work based SVQ at SCQF level 6 on the Multi skilled Engineer pathway. What will I learn? As part of your on the job training, Nordex will guide you through the electrical and mechanical workings of our turbines. Be able to work as part of our onsite teams and make simple repairs building up to more complex repairs and component exchanges of our turbines. There are planned services and inspections to be carried out along with documentation that needs to be completed on our systems pre and post activities. |
