WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF INVENTORY AND SUPPLY APPRENTICES. IS THAT YOU?
 

We see our apprenticeships as key to our future business across Scotland and also in creating valuable employment for young people. We are looking to add to our expanding workforce through the recruitment of Inventory and Supply apprentices. Our Apprenticeship programme is built on work experience, skills and knowledge. You’ll receive all of these and more as you create a platform for yourself that will launch a career to be proud of.

Diageo’s Inventory & Supply department is the central planning team, based in Alloa, that is responsible for the day to day management of Diageo’s maturing Scotch Whisky and Rum stocks held across Scotland.

This small dynamic team manage the selection, logistical movements and quality assurance activities associated with all Scotch Whisky & Rum blending operations.  

Reporting to the Inventory team this Modern Apprenticeship role provides a unique opportunity to develop a broad skill set within a multi discipline working environment, while working towards a structured SVQ certified qualification in Supply Chain over a three year period.


WHAT WILL I LEARN?
  
  • Practical on the job training coupled with ongoing learning.
  • An introduction to Whisky Stock management
  • Learn how to develop key relationship skills and deliver excellent customer service
  • An introduction to supply chain management and how to effectively manage capacities versus customer demand
  • Develop an understanding of HMRC & Duty compliance within the Scotch Whisky industry.
  • Team work.
  • An enthusiastic learner who is looking to grow and develop over the apprenticeship
  •  
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 
  •  Minimum of 3 Scottish National 5 Qualifications or above (to include Maths and English)
  • Highly practical & a great problem solver
