Already the summer holidays feel distant; the temperature has dropped, leaves are turning and shops are stocking their shelves in preparation for Christmas... but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Here at DYW Forth Valley we have spent the summer holidays preparing to support business and education partnership & engagement activities for the upcoming year, and we are excited to work with you.
'The Year of Young People' 2018 has generated a significant number of events, opportunities and activities that focus on young people, with plenty still to come. When YoYP 2018 ends, our mission continues to be to encourage and support employers to engage directly with education, whilst also encouraging them to recruit more young people. We will continue to both engage new businesses from every sector who would like to contribute to the development of young people's skills; and support and enhance the partnerships that are developing between business and education to fully embed DYW. Across Forth Valley the development, recognition and articulation of transferable skills have been highlighted as a focus; if there are any particular transferable or soft skills that your business requires and you are in a position to work with us to raise awareness of skills and support their development within education, we want to hear from you. Kind regards Jen, Karen, Michelle, Rachael & Hollie The DYW Forth Valley Programme Team |
