Whether you are a school or college, education head or member of teaching staff, DYW Forth Valley can help you to engage with employers who can support your learning programmes and help meet the Career Education Standard. Whatever the activity and however you want employers to support you to bring a classroom topic to life, DYW Forth Valley are here to support you. 

These guidelines will ensure a positive experience for all involved whilst ensuring preparation and purpose of the engagement is understood. Within this guide you will find advice and guidance on activities, tips, case studies and more.

Each resource helps you introduce young people to a different aspect of the world of work and helps them with their career management skills.

NHS Education for Scotland has launched a new online resource to attract the future workforce into a career in healthcare.

This ‘ready-to-go’ NHSScotland Careers Resource pack contains:

1  ‘A Career for You in Health’ - a guide to every job family in NHSScotland

2 An NHSScotland Careers teaching unit for secondary schools including lesson plans, pupil materials and slide packs
 
3 A 'Welcome to NHSScotland' leaflet showing all NHSScotland job families ‘at a glance’ which could be used with individuals, small groups, classes or at events such as  parents’ evenings.
